Dr. Nahar has been a Fellow of IUPAC since 2006 and serves as its National Representative for Division VII, Chemistry and Human Health. She is a founder member of ANRAP, the Asian Network of Research on Antidiabetic Plants, and of NITUB, the Network of Instrument Technical Personnel and User Scientists of Bangladesh.
